How They Work

The Parallax Focus+ Screen Comfort Glasses are designed to reduce exposure to harsh blue light and glare during extended screen sessions, particularly during evening use.

By filtering the amount of blue light your eyes are exposed to, the Focus+ glasses are designed to support a more comfortable screen experience during prolonged use, which may in turn help support a healthier circadian rhythm and more restful sleep.

Some people who wear the Parallax Focus+ glasses also report a reduction in eye strain, visual fatigue, and screen-related headaches during extended screen sessions, although individual experiences may vary.

What is Blue Light?

Blue light is a natural part of the visible light spectrum and is present in both sunlight and artificial light sources. Modern screens and indoor lighting emit blue light, particularly in the 450–500nm range.

Blue light itself is not inherently harmful. In fact, exposure to natural blue-rich light during the day plays an important role in supporting alertness and regulating the body's natural sleep-wake cycle.

However, exposure to bright artificial light from screens and indoor lighting late in the evening may interfere with the body's natural wind-down process and delay the production of melatonin, a hormone involved in sleep regulation.
